Mayor Karachi inaugurates flower show at Zoo
KARACHI: Mayor Karachi, Barrister Murtaza Wahab inaugurated a flower show on Thursday at Karachi Zoo, which was organized to promote flowers and greenery.
He said that more than one hundred thousand different types of flowers had been put on display.
“Practical steps are under way to make Karachi Zoo an entertainment and eco-friendly place. Development work is progressing rapidly at Karachi Zoo.
Providing better care and facilities to animals at the zoo is among our priorities,” he said.
He said the aim of the flower show is to raise awareness among the citizens about the importance of plants, trees and the environment. Tree plantation and green areas are being expanded in the Zoo.Cultural activities have also been organized for citizens at the Karachi Zoo. A Qawwali concert was also organised on the occasion of the flower show.
