Kashmir Day: Rana Muhammad Qasim Noon, Federal Minister and Chairman, Parliamentary Committee on Kashmir
On this day, the entire Pakistani nation expresses its unwavering solidarity with its Kashmiri brothers and sisters.
Kashmir Solidarity Day is a reaffirmation of our pledge that Pakistan stands shoulder to shoulder with the Kashmiri people in their just and legitimate struggle.
For decades, the Kashmiri people have endured illegal Indian occupation, oppression, violence, and grave human rights violations; yet their courage, resilience, and determination remain unshaken.
The sacrifices of the Kashmiri people constitute a bright chapter in history, and their steadfastness is an example for the world.
Pakistan fully supports the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination, which is their recognized and inalienable right under the resolutions of the United Nations Security Council. India’s illegal and unilateral actions, particularly the atrocities being committed in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir since 5th August 2019, pose a serious challenge to the conscience of the international community.
I urge the international community to take immediate notice of the ongoing human rights violations in Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, ensure justice for the Kashmiri people, and enable them to exercise their right to decide their own future.
Lasting regional and global peace is contingent upon a just and durable resolution of the Kashmir dispute in accordance with the United Nations resolutions.
On this day, on behalf of the Government of Pakistan and the people of Pakistan, I pay tribute to the Kashmiri martyrs and express complete solidarity with their families.
The Parliamentary Committee on Kashmir will continue to be the voice of the Kashmiri people at every diplomatic, political, and moral forum.
May Allah Almighty grant the Kashmiri people freedom, peace, and dignity, and bestow upon Pakistan the resolve and strength to continue supporting the oppressed.
Ameen.
