QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti visited the site of a bomb blast in Quetta on Saturday and reviewed the overall security situation following the incident.

During the visit, the Chief Minister met with personnel of the security forces and police deployed at the site and inquired about the operational response and security arrangements.

Inspector General of Police Balochistan, Muhammad Tahir Khan, briefed him on the nature of the attack and the actions taken by law enforcement agencies.

Bugti praised the Police and Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) for their swift and effective response, commending the bravery and professionalism of the personnel involved.

He said the timely action helped prevent further damage and demonstrated the preparedness of the security apparatus. “The prompt response against terrorist elements is highly commendable,” the Chief Minister said, adding that anti-state elements would not be forgiven under any circumstances.

Reiterating the provincial government’s commitment, CM Sarfraz Bugti stressed that no compromise would be made on the security of Balochistan. He emphasized that all necessary measures would continue to be taken to ensure the safety of citizens and to eliminate terrorism from the region.
