Ahsan Mushahid made Soneri Bank’s President & CEO wef April 1

KARACHI: Ahsan Mushahid Siddiqui has been appointed as President & Chief Exe-cutive Officer of Soneri Bank Limited with effect from April 1, 2026.

The Board of Directors of Soneri Bank, in its 214th meeting convened on January 29, 2026, has approved the appointment of Ahsan Mushahid Siddiqui as President & CEO of the bank, effective April 1, 2026 in place of Muhtashim Ahmad Ashai, whose employment contract shall mature on March 31, 2026.

According to a notice sent by the Soneri Bank to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), however, the appointment is subject to clearance by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) under its Fit and Proper Test requirements.

During the meeting, the BoDs also appreciated the valuable contributions and services rendered by ongoing Muhtashim Ahmad Ashai during his tenure as President and CEO. The board also extended its best wishes to him for his future endeavours.

Mushahid has previously served as Chief Operating Officer of Soneri Bank and is currently working as the Deputy CEO of Soneri Bank.
