ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication Shaza Fatima Khawaja on Tuesday visited the Pakistan ASAN Khidmat Centre, being constructed in Islamabad’s G-9 sector, to review progress on the flagship public service delivery initiative.
The centre is being established through a collaborative partnership between Pakistan and Azerbaijan and is nearing completion. Once operational, it is expected to provide international-standard civic services in line with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s Digital Nation Vision.
During the visit, the minister was briefed on the centre’s citizen-centric service delivery framework, integrated public services model, and technology-driven facilitation mechanisms. She also personally availed a service as a user to assess the quality, efficiency, and responsiveness of the digital system.
Expressing full confidence in the digital infrastructure, the minister said the Pakistan ASAN Khidmat Centre would serve as a major milestone in strengthening direct, transparent, and efficient interaction between citizens and the government.
