LAHORE: The new General Aviation Aerodrome Lahore (near Muridke) achieved another significant operational milestone on Saturday with the successful landing of a twin-engine aircraft, following the recent arrival of a single-engine aircraft.
According to a spokesperson of Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA), the flight was on boarded by PAA Director General Air Vice Marshal Zeeshan Saeed, reflecting strong institutional confidence in the aerodrome’s safety standards, operational capability, and overall readiness.
The landing was conducted with exceptional precision and professionalism, demonstrating the aerodrome’s robust operational framework, technical preparedness, and effective airside coordination in accordance with contemporary aviation requirements.
“This achievement represents a major advancement in Pakistan’s general aviation sector and underscores the Pakistan Airports Authority’s commitment to enhancing regional aviation capacity, strengthening infrastructure, and promoting excellence in national aviation development, he said and noted that the General Aviation Aerodrome Lahore, despite heavy monsoon seasons, was completed in two and a half years, at a cost of a little over 2 billion rupees, showcasing efficient planning and execution under challenging conditions.
