RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir praised Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) General Sahir Shamshad Mirza’s role in strengthening harmony among the armed forces.
According to ISPR, the CJCSC paid a farewell visit to GHQ, where he met Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir. During the meeting, the Field Marshal acknowledged General Mirza’s exemplary leadership and strategic foresight.
He also commended his efforts for joint operational readiness and the safeguarding of national security objectives. The Field Marshal further recognised the CJCSC’s contribution to regional stability and military diplomacy.
General Mirza expressed gratitude to the field marshal and the Pakistan Armed Forces. The ISPR said that General Mirza laid a wreath at the Yadgar-e-Shuhada at GHQ. A smartly turned-out contingent of the Pakistan Army presented a guard of honour to the Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee.
