Renowned scholar Dr Arfa Sayeda Zehra passes away

Renowned scholar and educationist Dr Arfa Sayeda Zehra passed away on Monday in Lahore. She was 83.
Meanwhile, President Asif Ali Zardari has expressed deep sorrow and grief and said that her death was an irreparable loss for Pakistan’s academic and literary circles.
“Dr Arfa Sayeda Zehra set a shining example by dedicating her life to knowledge, research, and the service of humanity,” he said.
Moreover, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also expressed his grief and paid tribute to Dr Arfa for her invaluable services in the fields of education, research, and especially for the promotion and development of the Urdu language.
Similarly, Federal Minister Planning & Development Ahsan Iqbal said that the scholar left behind a legacy of scholarship, activism and fearless public discourse.
She was conferred Tamgha-e-Imtiaz in recognition of her significant contributions to public service, education, social justice, and ethical leadership this year.
