KARACHI: The futures spread at the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) widened to 11.15 percent during the outgoing week, compared to 7.46 percent in the previous week, reflecting cautious speculative positioning amid declining market participation.
Trading activity in the futures counter contracted notably, as volumes fell 66.1 percent to 206 million shares, while the traded value declined 63.1 percent to Rs11.23 billion.
The sharp fall in turnover suggested a more risk-averse approach by investors ahead of key market and economic triggers.
