NetSol Technologies Limited (NETSOL), a leading software house in Pakistan, has inked an agreement worth over Rs500 million with the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to advance the province’s Paperless Government Project into its next phase.

The listed company disclosed the development in its notice to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on Friday.

“NetSol Technologies has signed a landmark agreement with the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa worth over PKR 500,000,000, funded by the World Bank, to begin the next phase of the province’s Paperless Government Project.

“Building on phase I - which successfully digitised summaries to the chief minister, the cabinet workflow and other core paper-based processes - the next phase will scale automation and secure inter-agency integrations to deliver faster decisions, and stronger auditability,” read the notice.

“This milestone moves digital governance from promise to practice: faster service delivery, fewer manual touch points and clear, auditable decision trails across government,” said Salim Ghauri, Chief Executive Officer, NetSol Technologies.

“We are proud to partner with the provincial government to make the government processes more transparent, accountable and efficient,” he added.

NetSol Technologies Limited was incorporated in Pakistan as a private limited company in 1996 and was later converted into a public limited company. The company is engaged in the development and sale of computer software and allied services locally as well as internationally.

Days ago, NETSOL’s sub-subsidiary, NETSOL Institute of Artificial Intelligence (Pvt.) Limited entered into a partnership with the National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC) to equip 1,600 participants with skills in AI, data science, and cybersecurity.

Last year in August, a consortium led by NetSol Technologies signed an agreement with Ignite - National Technology Fund, a company incorporated under the Ministry of IT & Telecom, to establish and operate the National Incubation Centre (NIC) Lahore for the next five years.
