ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar on Wednesday expressed satisfaction over the growing momentum in Pakistan-Saudi economic relations and underscored the potential for deeper bilateral cooperation.
He made the remarks during a meeting with Prince Mansour bin Mohammad Al Saud, Chairman of the Saudi-Pakistan Joint Business Council (JBC), who is leading a high-level Saudi business delegation visiting Pakistan.
He highlighted Pakistan’s investment-friendly environment and reiterated the government’s commitment to facilitating Saudi investments.
Prince Mansour lauded the progress of the JBC, calling it one of the most successful business councils globally. Both sides agreed to enhance economic linkages for the mutual benefit of the two countries.
Separately, Dar said that former senator Mushtaq Ahmed is expected to return to Pakistan today (Thursday) following his release from Israeli custody.
He thanked Jordan for its assistance in receiving members of the Global Sumud Flotilla and facilitating Ahmed’s repatriation to Amman ahead of his return to Pakistan.
In a phone call with Jordan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi, Dar also reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to deepening bilateral ties and promoting regional peace and stability.
