FBR extends sales tax return filing date

ISLAMABAD: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has extended date for filing of monthly sales tax return for the tax period of July 2025 up to August 26, 2025.

According to the FBR instructions to the field formation here on Friday, in exercise of the powers conferred under section 74 of the Sales Tax Act, 1990 and section 43 of the Federal Excise Act, 2005, the Federal Board of Revenue is pleased to direct that the date of submission of Sales Tax and Federal Excise Return for the tax period of July, 2025 which was due on 18.08.2025 is hereby extended till August 26, 2025 subject to the condition that due sales tax liability has been deposited within due date.
