PM Shehbaz, President Zardari discuss political, security situation in Lahore meeting
- President Zardari urges that upcoming budget should include concrete measures to provide relief to masses
President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held a meeting at the Governor House in Lahore on Saturday to discuss the prevailing political and security situation in the country.
The meeting was also attended by National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, Punjab Governor Sardar Salim Haider Khan, and Senator Saleem Mandviwalla.
According to the Prime Minister’s Office, the participants exchanged views on the internal political landscape, security matters, and cooperation among political allies.
The recent foreign visits undertaken by the prime minister were also discussed during the meeting.
President Zardari emphasised that the upcoming federal budget should include concrete measures aimed at providing relief to the common man and ensuring public welfare.
The president further stressed that political allies must move forward together in the larger national interest.
