BANGKOK: Thailand’s central bank and finance ministry will propose new candidates for the next central bank board chair, Finance Minister Pichai Chunhavajira said on Tuesday.

Thai central bank says maintaining interest rate is a robust policy amid uncertainty

The proposals will come after an advisory council said the government-backed candidate selected for the post could be ineligible due to a political role he has recently held.
