Days after Sridevi’s death, daughter Janhvi celebrates her 21st birthday
Late Bollywood diva Sridevi embraced motherhood on March 6, 1997 after giving birth to her first daughter Janhvi Kapoor, however, the legendary actress’ untimely demise stopped her from seeing her baby girl turn 21 this year.
Keeping her mother’s tradition alive, like every year Janhvi celebrated her birthday at an orphanage, a ritual that her family has kept for years. The aspiring actress then returned home where mini celebrations were arranged, keeping their somber situation in mind.
Jhanvi's cousins Sonam Kapoor, Rhea Kapoor, Shanaya Kapoor and stepsister Anshula Kapoor came together to be a part of this celebration and extended their support to Sridevi’s grieving family. Arjun Kapoor’s sister Anshula especially flew in to the city only for the occasion.
Sonam shared some pictures and a little boomerang video from the event on her social media. Janhvi cut her multiple birthday cakes, for the first time without Sridevi, alongside her sister Khushi and father Boney Kapoor and Anshula as well. Even in this dark time, the family shared a laugh and looked joyful on this happy occasion.
On work front, Janhvi is all set to debut in ‘Dharak’ opposite Shahid Kapoor’s brother Ishaan Khattar. The movie is set to release this July.
