BEIJING: China imported 89.94 million metric tons of soybeans during the first ten months of 2024, surging 11.2% from a year ago, according to customs data on Thursday.

That adds to a record import in August and another large shipment last month, setting the world’s biggest buyer of the oilseed up for its largest annual imports on record.
