Iddat case: court adjourns hearing till today

ISLAMABAD: The counsel of Khawar Maneka, the complainant in the Iddat case against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founding chairman Imran Khan and his wife, on Tuesday, told the court that his client wanted to reconcile [Ruju] with her ex-wife but she solemnised Nikkah before Ruju during her “Iddat” period.

Maneka’s lawyer Rizwan Abbasi, while arguing before District and Sessions Judge Shahrukh Arjumand over appeals filed by PTI leader Khan and his wife against the verdict in the “Iddat” case, told the court that both Khan and Bushra Bibi solemnised Nikkah before Ruju during Iddat period.

Khan’s counsel Salman Akram Raja and wife’s lawyer Usman Gull appeared before the court.
