TOKYO: Japan’s Nippon Steel said on Friday that under its proposed takeover of US Steel there would be no layoffs and no plant closures until September 2026, under certain conditions.
Japan’s Nikkei dips as techs track US peers lower; BOJ meet in focus
Nippon Steel said in the statement it is progressing through regulatory review of the deal and determined to see it through.
