KARACHI: Alkhidmat Karachi has signed MoU with Sindh Board of Technical Education (SBTE) for the affiliation and accreditation of its education programme ‘Bano Qabil’.

In line with the MoU, the successful graduates of the Bano Qabil programme will receive certification from SBTE which will be accepted and recognized in Pakistan and abroad.

The signing ceremony was held at the Alkhidmat’s office, which was attended by CEO Alkhidmat Karachi Naveed Ali Baig, Executive Director Rashid Qureishi, Programme Director Bano Qabil Farooq Kamlani and Director Community Services Qazi Syed Sadruddin as well as Chairman SBTE Dr Masroor Ahmed Sheikh, Secretary Muhammad Akram and Inspector of Institutes Syed Akhtar Ali Shah.

“Bano Qabil is a unique initiative to provide 100 percent free, advanced, in-demand IT skills to the youth,” Naveed Ali Baig told the ceremony.

He expressed his hope that the tie-up with SBTE and the strength of its certification would greatly boost the confidence of Bano Qabil’s young students and help them get jobs throughout the world

Dr Masroor Ahmed Sheikh called the MoU an ‘important’ milestone in the pursuit of educational excellence.
