HONG KONG: Hong Kong stocks opened lower on Thursday following losses on Wall Street fuelled by fears of recession.
The Hang Seng Index fell 0.11 percent, or 20.92 points, to 19,736.35.
China stocks flat ahead of ‘Golden Week’ holiday
The Shanghai Composite Index was down 0.24 percent, or 7.87 points, to 3256.23, while the Shenzhen Composite Index on China’s second exchange was down 0.37 percent, or 7.59 points, to 2017.48.
