ISLAMABAD: The government has decided to give 150 percent of the 2017 basic salary as executive allowance to the officers of the federal secretariat from grades 17 to 22 who were deprived of the allowance.

The decision to this effect was taken by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif after consultation with the finance minister.

The Prime Minister’s Office said the decision was taken to eliminate the disparity in the salaries of the officers of the Federal Secretariat.

The prime minister also decided that the decision will be applicable from January 1, 2023.
