FAISALABAD: Acting Divisional Commissioner Tariq Khan Niazi, Deputy Commissioner Imran Hamid Sheikh, District Returning Officer Muhammad Shahid and Returning Officer Irfan Kausar visited the control room and nerve center established at Govt Post Graduate College Samanabad in connection with the by-elections NA-108.
Deputy Commissioner briefed the officers about administrative and security measures of sensitive polling station through CCTV cameras and told about that 10 nerve centers had also been established for co-ordination. He informed that duties of representatives of relevant departments were checked through CCTV cameras.
Additional Deputy Commissioners Mudassar Ahmad Shah, Kashif Raza Awan, Qaiser Abbas Rand, Assistant Commissioner City Sahibzada Muhammad Yousaf, Election Officer Zaroya Amjad and other officers were also present.
The Deputy Commissioner informed that police, quick response force, mobile and picket officers and personnel have been deployed at the polling stations, while lady health workers and civil defense women are on duty to assist the police. Rangers and Pak Army troops are also on security duty. He said that officers were deputed for 354 polling stations for administrative duty.
The Acting Commissioner described the administrative and security measures as satisfactory and urged the duty officers to perform their duties vigilantly at the end of the polling.
