Teachers barred from using social media in duty hours

ISLAMABAD: The School Education Department on Saturday banned teachers from using social media including YouTube.

The ban came after the school education department received complaints that the teachers were running YouTube channels during school time and on premises.

The department said the teachers’ attention has seemingly been diverted to the usage of social media and YouTube channels as their focus should be on their students.
