LAHORE: Punjab Industries and Commerce Minister Mian Aslam Iqbal has said that Punjab will participate in the forthcoming Dubai Expo.

He expressed these views while addressing a meeting, which was held here on Friday to discuss issues related to the promotion of investment and provision of facilities to investors and Dubai Expo. Punjab Board Investment and Trade (PBIT) CEO Dr Erfa Iqbal and concerned officers of the Board attended the meeting.

The Minister told the meeting that Punjab would fully participate in this year’s expo, which will help in boosting investment in Punjab. He also said that new industrial zones in the province will lead to industrial development in Punjab. He asked the PBIT to make all efforts in promoting investment in the province and providing facilities to investors.

“Punjab will be made a hub of investment, trade and economic activities; due to the investor-friendly environment in Punjab, local and foreign investors are coming to Punjab. The growing investment in the country is an expression of confidence in Prime Minister Imran Khan’s economic policies,” he added.
