HONG KONG: Hong Kong stocks finished Thursday's morning session in the red as US lawmakers battle to hammer out a new stimulus for the struggling economy and Brexit talks stutter.

The Hang Seng Index fell 0.48 percent, or 126.87 points, to 26,375.97.
