'Now Pakistan wants to discuss terrorism not India,' says NSA Moeed Yusuf

  • Moeed said that India is treating Kashmiris like animals who now cannot even listen to New Delhi's name after the August 5 move.
  • India has not replied to our repeated calls of its involvement in several high profile terrorist attacks in Pakistan.

Special Assistant to Prime Minister (SAPM) Imran Khan on National Security Division Moeed Yusuf has said that now that when Pakistan wants to discuss terrorism, India remains silent.

He said India is spreading a narrative in occupied Kashmir that there has been an agreement on Kashmir and that Pakistan is not serious. He said he had also used the phrase 'my dead body' to make clear of Pakistan's stance on the occupied region.

He continued India is treating Kashmiris like animals who now cannot even listen to India’s name after the August 5 move. He added that even IIoK former chief minister Farooq Abdullah said that they would rather have Chinese rule than Indian.

While talking about his recent interview to an Indian media channel, the SAPM said he received a lot of feedback, however, he said 90 percent of people responded that it is the first time Pakistan gave a befitting response to India.

He contended that this shows Pakistan had been presenting its case out of fear in the past. “What is there to fear have we stolen something? The stealing is being done by someone else,” the SAPM said. It should be India who should be scared seeing what it is doing in occupied Kashmir.

The SAPM said that before when Pakistan wanted to speak about Kashmir, India always replied that it wants to talk about terrorism. In the interview, Yusuf said, a major change in Pakistan’s stance was that 'actually we want to talk about terrorism', adding that he made them count one after another of India’s involvement in terror attacks in Pakistan.

He said India refuted its desire for talks with Pakistan while it failed to answer about his statements on terrorism.
