LAHORE: As many as 86 fresh cases of coronavirus have been reported across the province of Punjab during the last 24 hours taking the provincial tally to 99,378.
With recovery of 95,449 patients, the number of active corona patients is 1,695 in Punjab. A total of 1,239,211 corona tests were conducted in Punjab so far and during the last 24 hours, 11,239 tests were conducted.
Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar said in a statement that 97 patients are under treatment in Punjab government hospitals including 22 in Lahore. So far, 2,234 people have died due to Covid-19 in Punjab.
The CM made it clear that corona SOPs will be strictly implemented in educational institutions and action will be taken in case of non-compliance. Those who tried to politicize corona have faced defeat and the opposition tried to hoodwink the people through negative politics. The elements bent upon dividing the nation at every occasion should look rather into their own peep, advised the CM.
