Despite the trolling and criticism she receives for her acting chops, Mahira Khan reminded us why we all loved her in the first place.

With an Instagram throwback post on Friday of scenes from now-iconic serial Humsafar, in which she portrayed Khirad, Khan marked nine years since the show aired.

"What is there left to say that hasn’t already been said? Maybe that’s the thing about Humsafar there is always more to say," observed the Superstar actor.

"Khirad is by far my most special character. She loved fiercely, she gave wholeheartedly and when it came to her self respect she held that closest to her heart. What a woman."
