KARACHI: On Tuesday, Pakistan Rupee exhibited mixed signals. It gained value against USD in interbank market while losing value against USD in open market. Against AED and SR; it remained unchanged while it went up against Euro.
INTER-BANK MARKET RATES: In the interbank market, Pakistan Rupee gained 15 paisas for both buying and selling against USD over yesterday's rates closing at 166.15 and 166.25 respectively.
OPEN MARKET RATES: In the open market, PKR lost 15 paisas for buying and 5 paisas for selling against USD over yesterday's rates closing at 166.25 and 166.45 respectively.
Against Euro, PKR went up by 50 paisas for both buying and selling over yesterday's rates closing at 194.50 and 196 respectively.
Against UAE Dirham, PKR remained unchanged for both buying and selling closing at 45.15 and 45.35 respectively.
Against Saudi Riyal, PKR remained unchanged as well for both buying and selling closing at 44 and 44.15 respectively.

RUPEE IN LAHORE: The Pak rupee stayed unchanged on the buying side while it gained its worth on the selling side in relation to the US dollar in the open currency market on Tuesday.
According to currency dealers, the dollar firmly closed at its opening rate for buying at Rs 166.00 whereas it further appreciated its worth for selling and ended at Rs 166.40 against the overnight trend of Rs 166.90.
Furthermore, the rupee failed to sustain its day earlier recoveries against the pound sterling. Consequently, the pound's buying and selling rates rose from Monday's closing of Rs 211.50 and Rs 213.50 to Rs 212.20 and Rs 214.00 respectively, they added.
RUPEE IN ISLAMABAD AND RAWALPINDI: The dollar gained 40 paisas against the rupee at the open currency markets of Islamabad and Rawalpindi here on Tuesday.
The dollar opened at Rs 166.50 (buying) and Rs 166.60 (selling) against last rate of Rs 166.10 (buying) and Rs 166.20 (selling).
It closed at Rs 166.50 (buying) and Rs 166.60 (selling).
The buying and selling rates of one tola of gold was Rs 121,600 (selling) and Rs 121,300 (buying) at the local Sarafa (gold) markets of twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi
