The microblogging site Twitter recently added a new feature to its Direct Message (DM) that will now reveal the account details of the unknown person who sent the message to the user.

Twitter has informed users about the addition of a new Direct Message (DM) feature to the site from its 'Twitter Support' account.

“Now when you receive a DM request, we're giving you more context upfront about who sent it, like how you’re connected to the person on Twitter. And once you tap into the request, you’ll see their profile info along with their message,” said Twitter.

Under the new feature, the person receiving the direct message (DM) request will also be told how you are connected to that person on Twitter.

As soon as any user taps on the request message, they will immediately see the profile information of the sender of the message. Keep in mind that before this feature came, the user had to work harder to get information about the profile of the person sending the direct message (DM) request.
