KARACHI: On Tuesday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 4,735.
The traded value of metals, energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 17.268 billion and the number of lots traded was 25,049.
Major business was contributed by gold amounting to PKR 11.310 billion, followed by silver PKR 2.773 billion, NSDQ 100 PKR 979.189 million, platinum PKR 900.972 million, currencies through COTS PKR 781.788 million, crude oil PKR 193.818 million, DJ PKR 171.319 million, natural gas PKR 104.749 million, SP500 PKR 35.441 million and copper PKR 16.950 million.
In agriculture commodities, one lot of wheat amounting to PKR 4.388 million, one lot of corn amounting to PKR 2.766 million and 5 lots of cotton amounting to PKR 2.548 million were traded.
