UBL appoints Karachiwalla as Acting President & CEO
- UBL informed that the State Bank of Pakistan has cleared FPT of Shazad G. Dada.
The Board of Directors of United Bank Limited (UBL), has appointed Aameer Karachiwalla Chief Financial Officer (CFO) UBL, as Acting President & CEO, UBL for an interim period, with effect from 01 July 2020 to 15 July 2020.
The appointment was made while acceding to the request of Shazad G. Dada, the bank iformed on Wednesday in its filing to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX).
The bank informed that the appointment of Shazad G. Dada was with effect from 01 July 2020 and was subject to his FPT clearance by State Bank of Pakistan.
“We are pleased to inform you that State Bank of Pakistan has cleared FPT of Mr. Shazad G. Dada. However, Mr. Shazad G. Dada has requested to extend his joining date from 01 July 2020 to 16 July 2020,” informed UBL.
“His request is based on the advice from his existing organization,” added UBL.
Back in May, the former Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Standard Chartered Bank, Shazad G Dada was appointed as President and CEO of United Bank Limited.
