PSX attack: Effective response of LEAs helped eliminate terrorists in short time: COAS

(Karachi) Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa has said that effective and integrated response of Pakistan Rangers and Sindh police helped in eliminating terrorists in shortest possible time.

A statement issued by Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) stated that the army chief paid glowing tributes to security guards of PSX, who sacrificed their lives as first responders vigilantly checking terrorist’s entry to PSX foiling a major terrorist incident.

The COAS appreciated the law enforcement agencies saying, "With support of our resilient nation, we will foil all efforts of enemies aimed at destabilizing hard earned peace achieved through sacrifices of our martyrs.”
The Pakistan Stock Exchange was under attack on Monday after four terrorists laden with sophisticated weapons stormed into the building from the parking area.
Some eleven persons including two civilians, four security guards of PSX, and one Police Sub Inspector embraced martyrdom, while four terrorists have also been killed in the firing.
