China condemns PSX attack, reaffirms support to Pakistan against terrorism

  • The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) was under attack on Monday after four terrorists laden with sophisticated weapons stormed into the building from the parking area

(Karachi) China has condemned attack on Pakistan Stock Exchange that claimed lives of seven people including security guards and police official, media has reported.

In a statement, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China stated that it condemns the terrorist attack on PSX in which innocent lives were lost. It added that China will continue to support Pakistan on its stance against terrorism.

PSX constitutes of 40% shareholding by a consortium of Chinese investors which includes Shanghai Stock Exchange, Shenzhen Stock Exchange, and China Financial Futures Exchange.

PSX under attack: All militants killed, four security guards embrace martyrdom after attack foiled

The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) was under attack on Monday after four terrorists laden with sophisticated weapons stormed into the building from the parking area.

Some eleven persons including two civilians, four security guards of PSX, and one Police Sub Inspector embraced martyrdom, while four terrorists have also been killed in the firing and hand grenade attacks.

Traffic resumes at II Chundrigar after PSX attack foiled

The India-linked Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) has claimed the responsibility of attacking the PSX building.

The organization has also issued the list of the terrorists involved in today's attack. Members included Tasleem Baloch, Shehzad Baloch, Salman Hammal and Siraj Kungur.

President Arif Alvi, Prime Minister Imran Khan, Governor Sindh Imran Ismail and Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah condemned the attack on PSX, saying that the attack was aimed at tarnishing Pakistan's 'relentless war on terror'.
