  • The new price of petrol will be Rs100.10 per liter

(Karachi) The government has approved increase in price of petrol by Rs25.58 per liter on Friday. The new price of petrol will be Rs100.10 per liter.

The price of high speed diesel has been fixed at Rs101.46 per liter as its price increased by Rs21.31 per liter. Similarly, the price of light diesel has been increased by Rs17.84 and that of kerosene by Rs23.50. The new prices are Rs101.46 per liter and Rs59.06 per liter.

The new fuel prices will come into effect at midnight.

Earlier, the government announced a significant reduction in the prices of petroleum products other than High Speed Diesel (HSD) in a monthly review.

The petrol price was slashed by Rs 7.06 per litre or 8.6 percent. The price of kerosene oil was reduced by Rs 11.88 or 25 percent and Light Diesel Oil (LDO) by Rs 9.37 or 19.7 percent for the month of June.

However, the benefit of reduction in oil prices could not reach the consumer as an artificial petrol crisis was created in the country. Many petrol stations did not provided fuel citing shortage as reason. Despite PM's repeated calls to provide relief to common man after decrease in fuel prices, the administration failed to do so.
