Forget Deepika, Katrina to become Ranveer’s wife soon

Bollywood diva Katrina Kaif is currently enjoying the peak of her career after starring in the biggest movie of 2017 ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ opposite ex-fling Salman Khan, but the actress is now looking forward on becoming her arch nemesis Deepika Padukone’s alleged boyfriend Ranveer Singh’s wife.

Ranveer, who is currently proving to be the audience’s favorite with his latest release ‘Padmaavat’, is working on embracing the role of the legendary Indian cricketer Kapil Dev. Katrina had earlier shown interest for portraying the role of Kapil’s wife Romi Dev and now the actress has been confirmed to play the role of Ranveer’s on screen wife, considering she works on her Hindi and diction.

“When Katrina expressed keenness to be cast opposite Ranveer, who plays Kapil in Kabir Khan’s ‘83’, the filmmaker — who is also a close friend of Kat’s — expressed doubts about her inability to speak Hindi convincingly enough to look Punjabi. Katrina, who has never before bothered to improve her Hindi, has taken up the challenge to sound convincing as Mrs Kapil Dev,” Deccan Chronicle quoted a source.

The movie, titled ‘83’, is scheduled to release in April 2019 and will pay homage to the cricketer.
