Shipping activity at Port Qasim

KARACHI: Two ships arrived at the Port on Saturday, Port Qasim sources said.

Berth occupancy was mainatained at 50 percent at the Port on Friday where a total of seven ships namely M.V CMA Wagner, M.V MSC Catania, M.Tbunga Kantan Tiga M Tkition, M.T Synoove Knutsen, M.V Afamia, MV Paiute, are currently occupying berths to load/ offload rice, canola seeds, containers, palm oil, furnace oil, chemical.

Cargo handling operations were carried out smoothly at the Port where a cargo volume 147541 tonnes comprising 112370 tonnes import 35171 tonnes exports 3377 (TUES) was handled at the Port during the last 24 hours.

M.V CMA CGM Wagnor, sailed on Friday afternoon, M.T Synoove Knutsen sailed Saturday morning, according to Port sources.

M.T Victoria Kosan at EVTL, M.T AL Salam-II at FOTCO, M.T Chem Pegasus at LCT, were to arrive on December 17.
