Recovery of Shahbaz Taseer: FIA, IB directed to provide support to Punjab government

Interior Minister Rehman Malik has directed the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and Intelligence Bureau (IB) to provide all out support to Punjab government for safe recovery of Shahbaz Taseer, son of slain former Punjab Governor Salman Taseer. Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and Intelligence Bureau (IB) were asked to ensure co-operation in safe recovery of Shahbaz Taseer, Malik said in a statement issued, here on Friday.
The minister expressed the hope that the Punjab government would leave no stone unturned for safe recovery of Taseer. "Kidnapping of Taseer is a big challenge for the provincial government, particularly for the Punjab police and hoped they will work hard to recover Taseer," Malik said.
The minister said National Crisis Management Cell (NCMC) has been asked to immediately co-ordinate with the Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and FATA administration while Inspector General of Motorway Police was directed to ensure constant monitoring on all the routes leading to KP.
