HAMBURG/DUBAI: Egypt's state grain buyer, the General Authority for Supply Commodities (GASC) bought 295,000 tonnes of Russian and Romanian wheat in a tender, traders said on Tuesday.
Of the total, one cargo was Romanian and the rest was Russian, traders said.
GASC was not immediately available for comment.
Traders said the following were the cargoes purchased in the tender, with prices in dollars per tonne:
60,000 tonnes of Russian wheat from Union at $193.49 free-on-board (FOB) and $14.40 freight equating to $207.89 cost and freight (C&F)
60,000 tonnes of Romanian wheat from Cerealcom at $194.43 FOB and $13.57 freight equating to $208 C&F
60,000 tonnes of Russian wheat from Daewoo at $192.45 FOB and $15.65 freight equating to $208.10 C&F
55,000 tonnes of Russian wheat from GTCS at $192.50 FOB and $16.20 freight equating to $208.70 C&F
60,000 tonnes of Russian wheat from GTCS at $193.50 FOB and $15.65 freight equating to $209.15 C&F
