39th training course starts at NIAB

imabnmvFAISALABAD: The 39th postgraduate training course on "Nuclear and other advanced techniques in Agricultural and Biological Research" started at Nuclear Institute for Agriculture and Biology (NIAB) here on Monday

According to a spokesman of the institute, the NIAB, an establishment of Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission (PAEC), is primarily a research institution involved in goal oriented biological and agricultural research.

This year the NIAB has designed a two-week 39th training course to acquaint the participants with theoretical and practical aspects of nuclear and other advanced techniques.

He told that this course will remain continued up to December 23. It comprises of lectures in specialized subjects and experiments in some of the ongoing research projects of the institute.

He said that the candidates will themselves have to bear the cost of travel and stay in Faisalabad. However, the NIAB will also provide them transport facility from the venue of the course to the fixed points in the city free of charge. He said that Director General NIAB Dr Yusuf Zafar along with his team members including Dr Javed Akhtar, DCS/Director NIAB and Dr Shahnaz

A Khanum, DCS, NIAB, is organizing and monitoring the entire activities of the course to conduct it in a most befitting manner.
