South Korea has bought 200 tonnes of Malaysian tin ingot from a local trading house Daewoo International at a higher premium than its previous purchase, the state-run Public Procurement Service said on Friday.
The agency had bought the metal with more than 99.85 percent purity at a premium of $370 per tonne over London Metal Exchange cash prices on a cost, insurance and freight (CIF) basis to be shipped by June 2 to the port of Incheon, the agency said on its website (www.g2b.go.kr). The procurement agency in February bought the same amount for shipping by April 30 at a premium of $230.00 a tonne over LME cash prices, CIF.
