Punjab Assembly Speaker Rana Muhammad Iqbal here on Thursday met a delegation of National Council for Inter Faith Dialogue (NCIFD) led by Father Nadeem and other minority members. Speaker on the occasion told to the delegation that Constitution of 1973 guaranteed rights of minorities and they were being accorded these rights.
The Speaker averred that Islam was the religion of love and promoted harmony and brother-hood. He said that minorities were playing an affluent role in the proceedings of the assemblies. He said minorities had played a sheet anchor role in the making of the Country and they would again play a decisive role in the reconstruction of the country. Rana Muhammad Iqbal said minorities had also played an important role in promotion of education in the country.
