BlackBerry launches its ‘no-keyboard’ smartphone

After many years, BlackBerry has ditched its QWERTY keyboard design and introduced a new phone with no keyboard and a huge battery.

Formerly, the phone was called ‘BlackBerry Krypton’ but, now it finally launched in the markets as ‘BlackBerry Motion’. The phone is ‘KEYone’ – with no keyboard – along with many other interesting features.

Though the phone has the same Snapdragon 625 chip, 4GB RAM, 32GB storage and 12MP rear camera, the features that distinguishes it from the previous BlackBerry phones is its fingerprint sensor, being water resistant, being keyboard-less and its massive 4,000mAh battery.

Expected to have a battery life of up to 26 hours, it is pretty evident that the Motion can easily manage a day without the need of charging it, reported Engadget.

It also features the latest Android 7.1 software with a complete 5.5-inch HD LCD display and an 8MP front camera. The home button will also have a BB logo on it making it look more enchanting. The phone is not much expensive as it will debut for the equivalent of about $460 and will initially be available in selected markets only including Saudi Arabia and UAE, as per Android Central.
