An accountability court here Tuesday directed counsel of Begum Nusrat Bhutto to submit her medical certificate if she was unable to appear before the court on February 12. Earlier, Jahangir Badar and Nasir Ahmad Awan appeared on behalf of Ms Bhutto and informed the court that she was out of country and was unable to travel.
They requested the court to exempt her from personal appearance in a NAB reference against her. During hearing a number of Pakistan People's Party (PPP) lawyers and workers were also present in the courtroom. Sardar Khurram Latif Khosa, Rana Sufyan Arshad, Iftikhar Shahid and Munir Ahmad Khan of Peoples Lawyers Forum also attended court proceedings.
