Big names of the Indian film industry that are known for bringing huge numbers to the box office including Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and Ranbir Kapoor have fallen short in bringing audience to the cinemas and 2017 has proven to be a harsh year for money making movies.

Here are few Bollywood big budget movies that couldn’t make a mark at box office.

Tubelight

One of these disappointments include Salman Khan’s movie ‘Tubelight’, a movie that was highly anticipated and came out at the perfect timings of Eid that has always proven to be the best time for most of ‘Dabbang’ actor’s movies yet the film bombed at the box office.

Jagga Jasoos

Just like Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif’s love life, their movie ‘Jagga Jasoos’ also crashed but on the box office. The movie was criticised to be a drag and over imaginative. The star power couldn’t make money for Bollywood.

Jab Harry Met Sejal

Imtiaz Ali’s latest release starring the King of Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan opposite Anushka Sharma was expected to make millions for Indian Box Office, as fans of both the stars were eagerly waiting for this venture. Yet the movie’s typical plot disappointed the audience and ‘Jab Harry Met Sejal’ came out to be a mediocre cinema.

Rangoon

Other movies of 2017 that were expected to make it big included Kangana Ranaut, Saif Ali Khan and Shahid Kapoor starrer ‘Rangoon’ which also massively failed in earning at the box office.

‘Sarkar 3’ and ‘Begum Jaan’

Big B of Bollywood, Mr. Amitabh Bachchan and ‘Dirty Picture’ actress Vidya Balan also fell short in bringing movie goers to the cinema with their movies ‘Sarkar 3’ and ‘Begum Jaan’ respectively.

Some movies that managed to make money in 2017 include ‘Baahubali: The Conclusion’ and Aamir Khan’s ‘Dangal’, that earned massive numbers.
