Pakistan Railway to operate special trains

pakistan-railwayISLAMABAD: Pakistan Railway has decided to operate special trains to facilitate passengers on the eve of annual Raiwind congregation.

According to a private news channel, PR administration has finalised arrangement to operate four special trains for the convenience of passengers who intend to attend the congregation.

First special train will depart on November 16th at 9.30am from Mirpur and will reach Raiwind via Tando Adam at 10.15am next day.

Second special train will leave for Raiwind at 11am from Tando Adam and will reach Raiwind 8.15am next day.

Third special train will depart from Nawabsha at 10am and will reach Raiwind at 5am next day.

The 4th train will leave for Raiwind on November 16th at 6.45pm from Sukur and will reach Raiwind at 11pm next day.

Pakistan Railways also decided to restore its freight trains which will increase the annual revenue upto Rs 1 billion.

The freight trains of Pakistan Railways are suspended for four months and PR has decided to allocate five more engines for freight trains after repair.

PR has now 100 working engines. Five engines have been prepared in the Central Locomotive Workshop of Rawalpindi.
