LONDON: Europe's main stock markets dipped at the open on Tuesday, with London falling as British investors returned from a long holiday weekend.
The British capital's benchmark FTSE 100 index shed 0.4 percent to 7,518.73 points, compared with Friday's close.
In the eurozone, Frankfurt's DAX 30 index lost 0.4 percent to 12,583.82 points and the Paris CAC 40 shed 0.8 percent to 5,291.08 compared with the closing levels on Monday.
