BEIJING: China's Ministry of Finance said on Wednesday it would auction 10 billion yuan ($1.45 billion) in six-month bills on May 12.

After the auction, the bonds would be issued from May 12 to May 15, and start trading on the secondary market on May 17, the ministry said in a statement.
