The Karachi Port handled 31,960 tonnes cargo including 20,173 tonnes import, 11,787 tonnes export cargo and 378 containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Saturday.
The cargo comprised of 27,760 tonnes dry cargo including 7,815 tonnes general cargo; 3,685 tonnes fertiliser; 3,502 tonnes coal; 5,467 tonnes scrap; 7,005 tonnes cement; 286 tonnes yellow peas and 4,200 tonnes oil/liquid cargo. Three ships namely MOL Asante, Alitis and Chemroad Wing sailed out to sea during the report period.
Four vessels viz MOL Asante, Vinashin Summer, Ocean Dominance and World Dynasty are currently at the berths. One ship namely Mystras expected to sail on Saturday, while six vessels viz Ocean Dominance, Morning Hope, World Dynasty, Sp 5-Eric G Gibson, Fatima Ana and Conti Esperance are expected to sail on Sunday.
One ship namely Nova Noor is expected to sail on Monday. Three vessels viz Sinar Agra, Conti Esperance and OEL Trust due to arrive on Saturday, while six ships namely MT Seat, Satha Bhum, Bunga Terasek, Mutha Pioneer, Bolan and Iron Butterfly are due to arrive on Sunday. Five vessels viz Oriental Bouquet, MOL Admiration, Norasia Alps, Hyundai Future and Corinthiakos are due to arrive on Monday.

PORT QASIM
A total cargo volume of 104,958 tonnes comprising 81,869 tonnes import and 23,089 tonnes export inclusive of containerised cargo carried in 1,888 containers (TEUs) was handled during last 24 hours ending at 0800 hours on Saturday.
The cargo comprised of 35,699 tonnes diesel oil; 14,020 tonnes edible oil; 5,738 tonnes rape seeds 15,090 tonnes coal; 2,315 tonnes cement and 32,096 tonnes containerised cargo. Two ships namely MT Samho Cygnus and MV Iguana sailed out to sea during last 24 hours.
Five vessels viz CV Lucien, CV Sima Pars, CV Maersk Novazzano, MV Artic Voyager and MT Steela are expected to sail on Saturday. A total of five ships namely MSC Lucia, AL-Wajba, Grigroussa-I, Trustful and Multan carrying containers, furnace oil, general cargo and iron ore are currently at the outer anchorage.
Nine vessels viz CV Lucien, CV Maersk Novazzano, CV Sima Pars, MV Safaga, MV Artic Voyager, MV Effy-N, MV Iguana'a, MT Stolt Courage and MT Steela are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, rape seeds, coal, edible oil and diesel oil respectively during last 24 hours. Five vessels viz MSC Lucia, AL-Wajba, Grigroussa-I, Trustful and Multan due to take berths at Container Terminal, FOTCO Terminal, Multipurpose Terminal and IOC Berth respectively on Saturday.
Container vessel MSC Zanziber due to arrive on Saturday, while two more ships namely MT Sea Viking and MT Oriental Miho due to arrive on Sunday.
