KARACHI: Pakistan is playing a leading role in the ongoing global war against terrorism, said Governor of Sindh, Muhammad Zubair here on Wednesday.
Talking to Vice Chief of the Naval Staff, Admiral Khan Hashim bin Saddique in a call on meeting at Governor House, he said people and armed forces of the country have rendered tremendous sacrifices for the cause.

In particular context of Karachi it was agreed by the two that the port city holds tremendous geographical importance and improved law and order situation is fast reviving its glory.
Governor Muhammad Zubair attributed the current normalcy in Karachi to the operation launched by the law enforcers against criminals and terrorists.
The ongoing operation is paying off, he said and emphasized that restoration of law and order in economic hub of the country holds its direct impact on the prosperity of the entire country.
Immediate impact can be witnessed in the country itself, he said mentioning that present day Pakistan was far more peaceful.
Consequently restoration of social and economic activities can be registered here, he said.
Governor of Sindh also referred to growing confidence of foreign investors noticed to be according high priority to Pakistan in their projects worth millions of dollars.
